Why advertise here?

Meet Us Halfway is the only online publication dedicated to contemporary visual and performance art in Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island). Although our focus is mainly Epekwitk art and artists, we also consider Atlantic Canadian, national and international content that we believe would be of interest to our readership. Contracted writers are paid above industry standards and we depend on advertising revenue and donations to sustain independence and freedom to position our writing critically. Championing why making art matters and how it is shaping our future are the essence of Meet Us Halfway.

With each monthly publication, Meet Us Halfway reaches a targeted group of dedicated readers, including artists, collectors, gallery directors and curators across Canada, working artists, students, educators, critics, curators, collectors, galleries, corporate patrons and art appreciators who turn to Meet Us Halfway as a key source of art news.

New to designing online ads?
A few tips:

  • Keep the text minimal, to a max of about 15 words. People viewing your ad on mobile will not be able to read text that is too small.

  • Less is more when it comes to visuals. Choose one image or picture to be the focus for your ad, instead of cramming multiple images into one small space.

  • A strong colour background and a simple, legible call to action can make for a very effective ad.

  • When you export your ad to a file format, choose png rather than jpg. Png format is for compressing graphics whereas jpg format is for compressing photographs.

  • When sending your ad to Meet Us Halfway, don’t forget to include the URL that you want people to visit when they click your ad.
