Submissions Guidelines
Meet Us Halfway accepts pitches from writers anywhere. Positioned on Epetkwitk / Prince Edward Island, we are also interested in connections and ideas across geographical and other boundaries. Our focus is on non-fiction essays about art and culture, with a particular emphasis on visual and performance art. While we favour the format of the short essay (500-1500 words), we are open to various formats and lengths, including image-text combinations.
Please include in your article pitch, a 100-300 word summary of what you might like to write about. Please include links to relevant information (e.g. an artist’s website). If we aren’t already working with you, please include a CV with writing highlights.
All decisions are made at the discretion of the Editorial Committee. We endeavour to provide writer’s fees above industry standards in our part of the world. We are currently working with a rolling deadline.
